Contents Planning 5

Today I have also added some text for the contents bar, secondly I have made the top bar image fill the entire top, and finally I have added some coloured bars across the contents category titles.

Today I have included my images, and have edited them using photoshop in a few ways which were effects under the filter gallery, brightness and contrast, levels, vibrance and curves.

Today I have removed the other contents box so I only have one, and have resized it to my preference. I have also put the box over the top image and dropped the opacity of it. I have changed the title to a bold version of the Dolce Vita font, called Dolce Vita Heavy, as then it fits the typical conventions of a contents page of this genre. The text in the box is now 30pt rather than 34pt as it was too big and was the same size as the title 'Contents'. Finally I changed the intense drop shadow of the text in the box of 34px to 20px. 

Contents Planning 2

This is the second version of the contents page. Today I have changed the background colour to white it's a typical convention I have identified for that genre in contents pages. I have also inserted an original picture of the band, and have resized all the text in the long box to 36pt.

Cover planning 1

I have a good idea of what I want to include on the cover including text and images. Everything here I have created in Photoshop. For planning purposes I have composed a main image from images (guitar and amplifier) off the internet, but have edited them to look better, and have added shadows to them. This will be replaced by an original photo which I will take, like what I have made, but with the artist sitting on the amplifier. I have yet to plan where text will go, but so far I am happy with how it looks.

Contents Planning 1

 I have basically outlined where the text and images are going to be. I originally had the guitar image next to an amplifier, but decided to have the guitar on a wall mount instead. This because it fits inline with the side bar with the logo, and it then will be different to the cover as I have already used the guitar and amplifier idea on it. So far I am quite pleased with how it looks, especially with the side bar, and still have a lot in store for it.
